Social Media 101: Tips I Gleaned

Last night at the last minute I stepped into a teleseminar by invitation from Alejandro, the SuccessFool. If you have not met Alejandro you are in for a treat. He is a high energy guy and will help you make connections.

Live Video and Teleseminar

I took these notes from Alejandro’s live video last night and from teleseminar that Alejandro was a guest expert. For the life of me I do not know the name of the host. I am sure Alejandro will help me out with a link to this chap and the other speakers.

Social Media 101 Notes

I am just a beginner in this whole social media thing, so I am calling these notes Social Media 101. I think some of them are pretty advanced and forward thinking. Enjoy!

  1. Beware of putting the cart before the horse, take time to plan ahead.
  2. Get involved in the communities of where your audience is hanging out. Look at My Blog Log, Twitter, and Seesmic. Get involved in the discussion. Do not be overly aggressive, help others first.
  3. Find out what drives them, listen to your audience at My Blog Log, twitter, seesmic, or other blogs.
  4. Be real, authentic, and transparent.
  5. Multimedia is where blogs and social media are headed.
  6. Build rich relationships and appeal to peoples senses.
  7. Internet marketing will be much more interactive.
  8. Getting to creating an actual ROI takes time.

What have I missed? What would you add to this list?
